Successful meeting with our learning and development partners
The Academy for International Relations team works closely with several recognised external agencies and professionals in the fields of language, negotiation, intercultural skills, leadership to diversity and inclusion. This collaboration is crucial to offer learning activities so that colleagues continue to learn and develop on an ongoing basis and contribute to a future-proof and agile Ministry of Foreign Affairs (BZ).

Trends and developments
On Tuesday afternoon, 8 April, we met with them - and our internal learning and development partners from various BZ directorates - at the annual partner meeting to share trends and developments at BZ and gather experiences from our partners.
Mirella van de Noort, Head of the Academy for International Relations, emphasised the importance of learning and development. Mirjam Krijnen, Deputy Head of the Human Resources Department, took the partners through the organisation's current internal and external developments. Marije Balt, Knowledge Envoy and Dean at the Academy, gave an introduction to geopolitical trends and developments and what they mean for work at BZ.
Valuable insights
During the roundtables, we engaged with the learning and development partners on how together we can even better meet the learning needs of our BZ colleagues and central government colleagues in an international role. We see opportunities when we connect to technological developments, put the focus on skills and attitude alongside knowledge and in integrating learning even more into work.
Many thanks to all partners present for the valuable insights and input. By sharing experiences together, we are building a learning offer that prepares all central government staff in an international role for today's work, and in the future.
