Semi-annual meeting in The Hague
The LESC represents the local staff at the missions, and was in the Netherlands this week for their semi-annual meeting with different departments of the Ministry, such as the Secretary-General, Deputy Secretary-General, Future Proof BZ, the Human Resources Department (HDPO), 3W WorldWide Working (3W), projectgroup Modernisation of Employment Conditions for Local Employees (MECLE), the Diplomatic Missions Department (HDPN), the Security, Crisis Coordination and Integrity Department (VCI), the Inspection, Risk Analysis and Advisory Unit (ISB) and projectgroup START.
The importance of learning
The Academy spoke with members of the LESC about the importance of learning and development in times of decreasing budget and capacity, the significant role of (online) onboarding for (starting) locally employed staff, the learning portal and our learning offerings, and civil service professionalism.
