Organising online lectures on current affairs.

One of my tasks for the Academy is organising online lectures on current affairs. We work with various departments within the Ministry to organise lectures on issues concerning NATO, climate and religion. These lectures are an accessible way for staff to learn more about current geopolitical developments and other topics that have an impact on our work at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (BZ).

I'm also the Academy’s liaison for international affairs. This involves maintaining ties with similar academies in other countries and helping our missions abroad with their questions about learning and development. I also contribute to the NL-UK Joint Diplomatic Programme course, the European Diplomatic Programme and the European Diplomatic Academy. These programmes for selected diplomats from EU member states are organised in collaboration with the European External Action Service, the EU’s diplomatic service.

And I attend the monthly meetings of the Strategy Board, where staff from the Strategic Policy Unit meet with strategic policy advisers from various departments to discuss the organisation’s strategic focus. My role in this context is to ensure that the learning activities we offer reflect the organisation's strategic and organisational objectives.
